Another Year Another NaNoWriMo

While attempted and failed in the matter of days last year, I will be doing NaNoWriMo this year.

Issues in the fact I decided to do NaNo three days before it began last year night of been my first step to failure. This year I’ve already planned my first 10 chapters in the matter of two days. I’ve never been much of a planner for anything, but I knew if I wanted to get my 50,000 words, I would have to plan, plan, plan.

To be honest I dont even quite remember what I was going to write about last year. But I remember it not being very exciting at all. I really like what I have for my novel this year though.

The novel is called Daises. It surrounds the year 1966, originally planned to start in 1967 but I couldnt miss the Summer of Love, about a boy named Brian Lewis. Brian is starting his first year of High School in a boarding school. An intelligent boy with great grades. He’s basically the human embodiment of the word “innocent”. Virgin pure. The over done cliche I’ve accidentally put in here is his roommate, Keith Mac, is that classic “bad boy”. Ugh. Never been so done with myself.

Keith comes from a rich family. His father has named him a disgrace to the family, his mother not much around, no siblings. Blah.

Its a romance between Brian and Keith that takes a long time to build up to.

The novels time span goes on for two or so years, the novel ending in 1968/69. It ends with the two dropping out and running off to Paris for awhile, basically until they run out of money. It was after all, a spur of the moment idea. They didnt plan anything.

Well I hope I can finish and get my 50,000 this year. If not, theres always 2014.

I love the Doors. Their reign was short, but it’s better than releasing sucky records for DECADES. I appreciate everything The Doors have ever done…ever. They were a very unique band and will hopefully never be forgotten as a very influential group in rock history.

She has robes and she has monkeys, Lazy diamond studded flunkies

home

She lives on Love Street
Lingers long on Love Street
She has a house and garden
I would like to see what happens

She has robes and she has monkeys
Lazy diamond studded flunkies
She has wisdom and knows what to do
She has me and she has you

She has wisdom and knows what to do
She has me and she has you

I see you live on Love Street
There’s this store where the creatures meet
I wonder what they do in there
Summer Sunday and a year
I guess I like it fine, so far

She lives on Love Street
Lingers long on Love Street
She has a house and garden
I would like to see what happens
